OpenStreetMap and Geospatial APIs

One API key. One subscription. One geospatial stack.

Query OpenStreetMap with Overpass QL, route with Valhalla, search addresses and POIs, serve raster and vector map tiles, analyze spatial data, access terrain, and connect AI agents through MCP—all through one managed API.

Four vendor detours. One direct route.

A representative 250,000-call workload crosses four provider accounts for maps, places, routing and Overpass. The same measured workload fits one Mapsource Pro subscription.

Calculation and limits

The reproducible workload is 50% map tiles, 25% Overpass, 8% places, 6% routing, 4% elevation, 3% spatial analysis, 3% style compilation, 1% static rendering. The specialist total uses public monthly prices observed September 25, 2026 and EUR 1 = USD 1.1403.

Taxes, discounts and engineering labor are excluded. Provider APIs are not identical; style compilation, cross-service pipelines and typed result handles have no priced external equivalent in this total. Review Mapsource request accounting and limits.

Services

Your geospatial stack. One API.

Bring map data, basemaps, routing, address and business search, and spatial analysis into one integration. One API key, one subscription and shared usage limits, without managing a separate provider for each task.

Questions about managed geospatial infrastructure

Why not just self-host OpenStreetMap?

Self-hosting can make sense when the infrastructure itself is strategic. Mapsource is for teams that want OSM-powered services without maintaining imports, updates and supporting systems internally. Compare self-hosting with managed infrastructure.

Can Mapsource replace our existing Overpass infrastructure?

Mapsource provides a hosted Overpass QL endpoint with documented request formats and limits. Check compatibility against your queries before moving production traffic. Explore the hosted Overpass solution.

Do we have to replace Mapbox or Google Maps?

No. You can introduce Mapsource for selected backend geospatial workloads while keeping an existing map frontend or provider. Integration depends on the specific APIs and workflow.

Can AI agents use Mapsource?

Yes. MCP exposes geographic tools so an agent can request deterministic lookups, routes and spatial computation. Explore geospatial tools for AI agents.
